The American Poker Players Alliance (PPA) is doing everything they can to postpone the approval of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which will forbid players to gamble online.
This unpopular law, which should be approved on the first of December, has mobilized poker players all over America, who had not stopped claiming their rights and their freedom to choose. Their last act to defend their rights was writing a letter to Timothy Geithner (secretary of Treasury) and Ben Bernanke (Federal Reserve Chairman) asking for a delay in the approval of this law.
The closer it becomes the approval date, the more common it is to see this type of acts. So now, we can only wait and see what happens.
Fortunately, we don’t have this kind of problems at this side of the Atlantic Ocean, so let’s keep enjoying the advantages offered in the best online poker sites!

New poker competitions
Poker fans have a new appointment that they cannot miss. In this occasion we are talking about the Eurocity Poker Tour, which will be taking place in Malta from the 13th of November until the 15th of that same month.
This poker tournament has already celebrated two important events this year, the first one in Madrid and the second in Salzburgo. Taking into consideration the success of those two previous events, it is not surprising the great expectation created around this next event in Malta.
If you are interested in taking part, you should know that the buy in price is €1.500, but you also have the possibility of taking part in the tournament without spending that much money if you are able to classify through the satellite tournaments which are obviously much cheaper.
However, if you don’t even dare thinking about taking part on a tournament because your technique is not good enough, remember that practicing in the best online poker rooms you will be able to improve your strategy before you even realise.
